This design is inspired by the iconic neon signage of traditional 麻雀館 (Mahjong parlours) — once a common sight across Hong Kong, especially from the 1960s to 1990s.

Marked by bold glowing characters like 「麻雀」 and phrases such as 「麻雀娛樂」, these signs hung above staircases in old buildings, quietly inviting players upstairs. Inside, the sound of tiles shuffling, conversations, and laughter would go on for hours — a rhythm deeply woven into everyday Hong Kong life.

Mahjong parlours were more than gaming spaces.
They were social hubs — where friends met, neighbours bonded, and time slowed down in a fast-moving city.
