This design is inspired by the iconic neon sign of 大大百貨公司 (Da Da Department Store) — one of the most recognizable retail landmarks in Hong Kong from the 1960s to 1990s.

Founded in 1963, Da Da was among the early local department store chains that brought modern shopping culture to everyday Hong Kong life. Its branches, especially in Kowloon, became familiar gathering points for families, students, and workers.

What made it unforgettable was its signature smiling face logo — simple, friendly, and instantly recognizable — glowing above the streets in neon. It wasn’t just branding; it became part of the city’s visual memory.
